Bank of India Limited (BANKINDIA.NS) is an Indian public sector bank engaged in retail, corporate, and treasury banking operations. The bank offers a comprehensive range of products and services, including savings, salary, current, term, and RERA account deposits; debit, credit, and prepaid cards; personal, home, vehicle, education, star reverse mortgage, and loans against property; finance for new and existing businesses, healthcare schemes, government-sponsored schemes, and commercial vehicles; credit, cash management, and trade finance; government deposit schemes such as public provident fund, senior citizens savings, Sukanya Samridhi, national pension system, departmentalized ministries, sovereign and RBI bonds, and Mahila Samman savings certificates; mutual funds; life, health, and general insurance products; NRI services encompassing accounts, loans, money remittance, and ancillary offerings; agricultural loans including Kisan credit cards, gold loans, self-help group loans, Atmanirbhar schemes, tractor and farm mechanization, food and agro loans, agri-allied activities, Kisan Ghar and agri mortgage loans, and agri clinic/agri business centers; as well as internet, mobile banking, and payment services. Founded in 1906 and headquartered in Bandra Kurla Complex, Mumbai, the bank maintains a strong national presence with over 5,200 branches and 8,166 ATMs and CRMs across all Indian states and union territories, alongside 22 overseas branches in countries including the United States, United Kingdom, Japan, and others. In recent developments, Bank of India expanded its domestic network by inaugurating 111 new branches in urban and semi-urban areas in early 2025 to enhance financial accessibility and customer engagement; restructured credit operations by establishing 450 underwriting centers for retail, agriculture, and MSME loans to streamline processes; launched the TechNext initiative for IT, digital, and cybersecurity upgrades; introduced the Trade Easy digital platform in September 2025 in partnership with a technology provider; announced four major product launches including the premium Celestia credit card; and advanced the acquisition of 49% stakes in subsidiaries such as BOI AXA Mutual Fund to consolidate ownership.
