JPMorgan BetaBuilders U.S. Aggregate Bond ETF (BBAG) is an exchange-traded fund that seeks to provide investment results corresponding to the performance of the Bloomberg U.S. Aggregate Bond Index, before fees and expenses. The ETF invests primarily in USD-denominated investment grade fixed-rate bonds, including government securities, corporate bonds, mortgage pass-through securities, and asset-backed securities; it employs a representative sampling technique to track the broad U.S. investment grade bond market covering Treasuries, agency mortgage-backed securities, and corporates. The portfolio emphasizes mid-credit quality and moderate interest-rate sensitivity, with top holdings featuring U.S. Treasury notes, Federal National Mortgage Association securities, and Government National Mortgage Association bonds. Launched on December 12, 2018, BBAG is issued by J.P. Morgan Exchange-Traded Fund Trust and managed by J.P. Morgan Investment Management Inc., with a low expense ratio of 0.03% and assets under management of approximately $1.28 billion as of late 2025. The fund is domiciled in the United States and traded on the NYSE Arca exchange, targeting institutional and retail investors seeking diversified exposure to the U.S. aggregate bond market without duration constraints. Its geographic focus remains on U.S.-denominated securities, including a minor allocation to non-U.S. bonds. Recent portfolio oversight includes management transitions, with Jan Ho and Evan Olonoff appointed on October 12, 2023, followed by Mark Willauer on July 16, 2024. Amid broader fixed income expansions by J.P. Morgan Asset Management, the firm launched additional BetaBuilders ETFs such as those tracking U.S. Long Bond and Bloomberg U.S. Corporate Bond indices in late 2024, enhancing its passive fixed income suite alongside BBAG. The ETF maintains steady monthly dividend distributions, with a trailing 12-month yield around 4.2% and the latest ex-dividend date on August 1, 2025; assets have remained stable near $1.3 billion into December 2025 despite minor net outflows over the prior year.
