Business
Fintel Energija AD is an independent power producer and renewable energy utility company headquartered in Belgrade, Serbia. Founded in 2007, the company operates as a subsidiary of Italy-based Fintel Energia Group S.p.A. and focuses on the development, financing, construction, operation, and maintenance of clean energy generation facilities across Serbia and Southeast Europe. The company provides utility-scale electricity generation from renewable resources; development and operation of onshore wind power plants, including operational assets such as the 9.9 MW Kula, 6.6 MW La Piccolina, and 69 MW Košava Phase I wind farms; engineering and deployment of agrivoltaic and utility-scale solar photovoltaic facilities; power purchase execution and wholesale electricity transmission to the national grid; environmental planning, site acquisition, and permitting services; high-voltage substation and grid-connection engineering; and ongoing technical monitoring, asset management, and plant optimization services. Fintel Energija supplies electricity primarily to the national power grid operator, public utilities, and wholesale energy off-takers, executing projects both directly and via its strategic joint venture MK-Fintel Wind with Serbian conglomerate MK Group. In recent developments, the company secured an 89 million euro credit facility with Nova Ljubljanska Banka (NLB) and NLB Komercijalna Banka to finance the development and construction of the 70 MW Košava Phase II wind farm, following the complete loan repayment and debt refinancing of Košava Phase I. Additionally, Fintel Energija advanced the development of the 854 MW Maestrale Ring wind farm project near Subotica and the 300 MW Torak wind project, supported by a preferred turbine supply partnership with Zhejiang Windey Co. Ltd. to equip the Maestrale Ring facility as well as the Kula 2, Kula 3, and Kula 4 expansion projects. The company is also progressing the development of the 660 MW Agrosolar Kula project, an innovative agrivoltaic plant integrating large-scale solar power generation with organic agricultural crop cultivation.
