- BNY Mellon Global Fixed Income ETF is an actively managed exchange-traded fund sponsored by BNY Mellon ETF Investment Adviser, LLC, that seeks high total return, comprising income and capital appreciation, consistent with capital preservation. The fund invests principally in a diversified portfolio of global fixed-income instruments, including sovereign and government-related bonds; corporate bonds; notes and structured notes; mortgage-related securities; asset-backed securities; Eurodollar and Yankee dollar instruments; floating-rate securities; and floating-rate loans, which are limited to 20% of net assets. It normally invests at least 80% of net assets, plus borrowings for investment purposes, in fixed-income securities and principally holds investment-grade instruments rated Baa3/BBB- or higher, while retaining the ability to invest up to 25% of assets in below-investment-grade securities rated no lower than B. The fund invests across at least three countries, typically eight or more, limits U.S. investments to 70% of assets at purchase, and may allocate up to 40% of assets to emerging markets. Its portfolio may include issuers and securities across the United States, Europe, the United Kingdom, Japan, China, Australia, Canada, Latin America and other developed and emerging markets, with foreign-currency exposure managed in the context of its global investment strategy. The ETF is listed and traded in the U.S. secondary market under the ticker BGFI, allowing investors to buy and sell shares during market hours. BNY Mellon ETF Investment Adviser, LLC serves as investment adviser, while affiliated Insight North America LLC acts as sub-adviser; Insight Investment Management (Global) Limited provides associated investment-management resources. The portfolio is jointly managed by Brendan Murphy, Nathaniel Hyde, Adam Whiteley and Harvey Bradley. BGFI was launched in July 2026 as an ETF implementation of BNY Mellon’s global fixed-income investment approach, representing a recent expansion of BNY Mellon’s active ETF product range and providing exchange-traded access to a strategy also offered through the BNY Mellon Global Fixed Income Fund, which originated in 1994. The fund has a 0.40% total annual expense ratio and uses the Bloomberg Global Aggregate Index (Hedged), a U.S.-dollar-hedged measure of global investment-grade debt markets, for comparative purposes.
