Business
EA Bridgeway Select Small-Cap Value ETF is an actively managed exchange-traded fund that seeks long-term total return through capital appreciation by investing primarily in a diversified portfolio of U.S. small-cap value stocks listed on the New York Stock Exchange, NYSE American, and Nasdaq. The fund normally invests at least 80% of its net assets, plus borrowings for investment purposes, in small-cap companies, with a market capitalization of less than $15 billion at the time of purchase, and the sub-adviser uses a statistical, evidence-based approach to select securities within the small-cap value universe; the fund is distributed by PINE Distributors LLC, advised by Empowered Funds, LLC, and sub-advised by Bridgeway Capital Management, LLC, with headquarters in Houston, Texas and Newtown Square, Pennsylvania for the respective sponsoring entities. The ETF was launched in 2026 as part of a reorganization in which it acquired the assets and assumed the liabilities of the Bridgeway Small-Cap Value Fund, a predecessor mutual fund, on or about July 24, 2026, and it commenced operations as a newly created series of EA Series Trust. The reorganization made the ETF the accounting and performance successor to the mutual fund predecessor, preserved the same or substantially similar investment objective and strategy, and was presented by Bridgeway as a move to deliver lower operating expenses, intraday trading flexibility, and potentially more tax-efficient portfolio management than the prior mutual fund structure.
