Business
K K Silk Mills Limited is an India-based textile manufacturing and trading enterprise engaged in the production, processing, and distribution of synthetic, silk, and blended fabrics. Founded in 1991 and headquartered in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India, the company operates within the consumer discretionary and apparel manufacturing sectors, catering to domestic garment producers, wholesalers, fashion apparel brands, and retail distributors across India. The company structures its core business activities around fabric weaving, textile processing, and wholesale trading operations. K K Silk Mills Limited offers an extensive range of textile products and solutions, which includes synthetic and polyester filament fabrics; nylon and blended woven textiles; grey cloth and unbleached greige fabrics; dyed and printed dress materials; embroidered fashion fabrics; ethnic wear textiles, including sarees, dupattas, and salwar suit materials; jacquard and fancy woven fabrics; suitings and shirtings; and decorative furnishing fabrics. In addition to finished fabric production, the company provides specialized textile processing services, including yarn texturizing, sizing, and twisting; custom bleaching, dyeing, and chemical finishing; rotary screen and digital textile printing; heat-setting and calendering; and contract job-work manufacturing for commercial apparel makers. In recent operational developments, K K Silk Mills Limited has implemented strategic initiatives to upgrade its weaving looms and processing infrastructure, adopting energy-efficient dyeing and finishing machinery to reduce utility costs and improve production yields. The company has expanded its higher-margin product portfolio through the rollout of advanced digital-printed fabric collections and premium designer ethnic textiles to address growing domestic demand in the ready-to-wear fashion market. In addition, K K Silk Mills Limited has enhanced its raw material procurement and working capital management frameworks to mitigate synthetic fiber price volatility, while expanding its business-to-business distribution networks across key regional textile trading hubs in western and northern India.
