Business
Viksit Engineering Limited is an India-based commercial trading and distribution enterprise engaged primarily in the supply of industrial metals, steel products, and agricultural commodities. Incorporated in 1983 and headquartered in Mumbai, Maharashtra, the company serves clients across industrial manufacturing, construction, infrastructure, transportation, and agricultural processing sectors. Viksit Engineering Limited operates through two primary business divisions: Metals and Steel Trading, and Agro-Commodities. Its metal product portfolio comprises billets; ingots; hot-rolled coils; cold-rolled sheets; mild steel bars; wire rods; structural steel sections; and specialty industrial alloys used in machinery fabrication, building construction, and automotive and agricultural equipment manufacturing. In its agro-commodities segment, the company engages in the bulk procurement, distribution, and trading of agricultural produce, including yellow peas; pulses; soybeans; chickpeas (gram); and lentils for commercial food processors, wholesale distributors, and institutional buyers in domestic and select international trade markets. In recent corporate developments, Viksit Engineering Limited successfully completed a comprehensive financial and operational restructuring under the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code pursuant to a Resolution Plan approved by the National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT), Mumbai Bench. The resolution resulted in a complete change of management and control, with new promoters Mr. Kushal Chaturvedi and Mrs. Ruchika Chaturvedi taking over executive leadership. The corporate restructuring included a share capital reduction followed by a preferential allotment of 237,500 equity shares to the incoming promoters, representing a 95 percent equity stake. Following this takeover, the company reconstituted its Board of Directors and executive management, secured listing and trading approvals from the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE: VIKSHEN) for the resumption of equity trading in May 2026, relocated its registered corporate office to Andheri West, Mumbai, and initiated strategic programs to revitalize and expand its core trading operations in steel and agricultural commodity supply chains.
