Bufab AB (publ) is a Sweden-based trading company that supplies C-parts and technical components to industrial customers worldwide, offering full-service supply chain solutions encompassing sourcing, quality control, logistics, procurement, and inventory management. Founded in 1977 and headquartered in Värnamo, Sweden, the company provides a broad portfolio of products including standard fasteners such as bolts, screws, nuts, washers, rivets, and pins; customer-unique parts like turned, machined, cold-formed, hot-forged, casted, stamped, extruded, and molded components in metal, plastic, rubber, stainless steel, wire, and fabric; magnets and magnet systems; access hardware comprising hinges, locks, and latches; sheet metal products; wire products; security and industrial labels; foams and gaskets; and premium stainless steel fasteners under the BUMAX brand. It serves diverse industries including aerospace, automotive, construction, energy, furniture, agriculture, railway, defense, pharmaceutical, biopharma, offshore, engineering, telecommunication, and MedTech, with operations across approximately 28 countries through subsidiaries and acquired entities in Europe (Sweden, Norway, Finland, Denmark, France, Germany, Poland, Austria, the Netherlands, United Kingdom, Italy, Switzerland), North America (United States, Mexico), Asia (China, Taiwan, Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, Philippines), and other regions. Notable subsidiaries and brands maintaining strong identities include Novia Group for global sourcing and engineering, VITAL for Italian fastening systems, CDA for glass fittings, TIMCO for trade professional supplies, Component Solutions Group for engineered OEM products, American Bolt & Screw for commercial fasteners, Rudhäll for industrial components, Kian Soon Mechanical Components for mechanical connections, Magnetfabriken for magnet solutions, Apex Stainless Fasteners for stainless steel specialists, and BUMAX for high-performance fasteners. Recent strategic developments include the October 2025 agreement to acquire Novia Group, a German provider of global sourcing solutions with EUR 50 million in 2024 net sales and a high operating margin, expected to close in October 2025 and bolster Bufab's Central European presence and profitability; the 2024 acquisition of VITAL, a leading Italian C-parts distributor with EUR 48 million in net sales, strengthening its Italian market position; and divestitures such as manufacturing units Bufab Lann, alongside implementation of record numbers of new logistics solutions to enhance customer relationships and growth.
