The Fund, which trades on Nasdaq under the ticker BUFM, invests principally in Flexible Exchange (FLEX) Options referencing the SPDR S&P 500 ETF Trust to provide exposure to the S&P 500; employs a buy-and-hold, rolling three-month options strategy; establishes targeted upside caps and downside buffers; seeks approximately 10% downside protection and targeted 5% upside participation; may assume a first loss of up to 2% when doing so supports a higher hedge-period cap; and may reset its cap and buffer through an active upside-ratchet mechanism during equity-market rallies. Its services are directed at retail, wealth-management, and institutional investors seeking transparent, exchange-traded access to professionally managed buffered-equity and defined-outcome-style strategies. BUFM was launched on December 10, 2024, alongside the AB International Buffer ETF, expanding AllianceBernstein’s active ETF lineup and buffered-ETF offering; Susquehanna International Group was appointed lead market maker at launch.
