Business
CSC Holdings Limited is a Singapore-listed investment holding company and a leading foundation and geotechnical engineering specialist that provides ground engineering solutions for private and public sector projects including residential, commercial, industrial and infrastructure developments. Founded in 1975 and headquartered at 2 Tanjong Penjuru Crescent in Singapore, the Group operates principally through two segments: Foundation and Geotechnical Engineering, which encompasses civil engineering, piling works such as construction and installation of large diameter bored piles, diaphragm walls, secant piles, driven piles, barrette piles, jack-in piles, micro piles, pile caps, basements and pile load tests; soil investigation including land and marine services, soil laboratory testing, geotechnical instrumentation and monitoring, automated structural and tunnel deformation monitoring survey, ground and topographical survey, geophysical survey, bi-directional load testing, dynamic pile testing and pile integrity testing; land surveying and other related services; and Sales and Lease of Equipment, which includes sales and leasing of hydraulic bored piling rigs, pile driving rigs, jack-in piling rigs, other piling rigs and engineering equipment, sales of parts, accessories, consumables and leasing of steel plates. The Group also engages in property development, investment, management and related activities; fabrication, repair and maintenance of heavy machinery; and trading and leasing of machinery with operations in Singapore and Malaysia and a workforce of approximately 1,500 employees. In recent developments, a 55%-owned subsidiary, THL Foundation Equipment Pte Ltd, entered into three joint venture agreements in September 2024 with Chinese partners Tianjin KaiGuang Technology Co. Ltd, Guangzhou Jingye Construction Machinery Co., Ltd and Changsha Boshi Hydraulic Equipment Service Co., Ltd to establish an integrated foundation equipment service centre in Singapore for repair, servicing and parts supply; the Group completed a share subscription in THL Foundation International Pte Ltd with a name change in October 2024; secured contracts worth in excess of $150 million in September 2024; formed a joint venture with X-Max Pte Ltd and partially disposed of its effective equity interest in THL Vietnam Company Limited in August 2024; and continues an active share buyback program alongside issuances of commercial papers on the SDAX digital securities platform, including Series 006 in February 2025 raising S$13.69 million.
