Cherry SE (C3RY.DE) manufactures and sells computer input devices and peripherals with a focus on office, gaming, industry, security, and healthcare sectors. The company offers keyboards including mechanical MX series, G80-3000 variants, low-profile and ultra-low-profile models; mice and desktop sets; headsets and microphones; mechanical switches such as MX RGB, MX Low Profile, and MX Ultra Low Profile; USB terminals, card readers, and point-of-sale accessories; as well as software solutions; through direct sales, distributors, resellers, retailers, and e-commerce. Cherry SE serves office and home office users, gamers and eSports professionals, healthcare providers, security applications, point-of-sale systems, and IoT sectors across Europe, the United States, Asia, and other regions with production facilities in Germany, Asia, and the Americas. Founded in 1953 as Cherry Electrical Products Corporation in Highland Park, Illinois, USA, by Walter L. Cherry, the company relocated production to Germany in the 1960s and established headquarters in Auerbach in der Oberpfalz, Germany, in 1979, with current registered offices in Munich. Subsidiaries include Cherry Europe GmbH, Cherry Americas LLC, Cherry XTRFY AB in Sweden for e-sports, Cherry Digital Health GmbH, and operations in China, Taiwan, France, Austria, and the UK. Recent developments include the 2021 initial public offering on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange; conversion to a European Company (SE) structure; initiation of an M&A process in November 2025 for divesting one of its two business segments; integration of Swedish e-sports specialist XTRFY Gaming AB in 2022; acquisition of hardware and software producer Theobroma Systems in 2020; and launch of the MX Ultra Low Profile switch in 2021 alongside a new factory and headquarters expansion in Auerbach in 2019.
