Candles Scandinavia AB (publ) Candles Scandinavia AB (publ) (CANDLE-B.ST) manufactures and sells scented candles, reed diffusers and other eco-friendly home fragrance products made from 100% plant-based, biodegradable wax derived primarily from locally sourced rapeseed oil; the company offers fully customizable private label solutions including turnkey services for concept development, custom scent formulation, packaging and large-scale automated production with daily capacity of 96,000 candles and 56,000 diffusers, targeting B2B clients such as fashion, beauty and home furnishing brands including H&M, Åhléns, Lyko and Kicks primarily in the Nordic region with expanding international reach. Founded in 2009 and headquartered in Örebro, Sweden, Candles Scandinavia operates Europe’s largest facility for sustainable scented candles, emphasizing clean-burning, vegan-certified products free from paraffin, petroleum or synthetic additives, and serves global brands through its advanced, fully integrated manufacturing processes that ensure consistent quality, minimal waste and cost efficiency. In July 2025, the company completed the acquisition of HashtagYou GmbH, a German direct-to-consumer home fragrance firm, integrating its D2C brands AVA & MAY and Club Noé with a recurring customer base of approximately 500,000 across Germany, France and Italy; this strategic transaction, valued at an upfront SEK 90 million plus earn-out potential, more than doubles revenues to around SEK 429 million annually, establishes a new Own Brands division, enables full value chain vertical integration and projects SEK 40-45 million in EBITDA synergies within one year through in-house production, shared marketing and advanced digital platforms for influencer management and CRM.
