Chalet Hotels Limited is an operator, owner, developer, and asset manager of high-end hotels and hotel-led mixed-use developments across India. The company’s portfolio includes 11 fully operational hotels with approximately 3,359 keys spanning mainstream and luxury segments, alongside commercial spaces totaling around 2.4 million square feet primarily located in major Indian metropolitan regions such as Mumbai Metropolitan Region, National Capital Region, Hyderabad, Bengaluru, Pune, and leisure destinations including Khandala in Maharashtra. Chalet Hotels offers upscale and luxury hotel accommodations under partnerships with global hospitality brands, leasing Grade A commercial office spaces, and pursuing residential real estate development. Founded in 1997 and headquartered in Mumbai, Chalet Hotels operates as a subsidiary of K Raheja Corp. The company’s main products and services encompass hotel ownership and operation; hotel asset management; development of hotel-led mixed-use projects; leasing of premium commercial office spaces; and residential real estate projects. Key properties include JW Marriott Sahar Mumbai, Westin Powai Lake Mumbai, and Courtyard by Marriott Aravali Resort near the National Capital Region. Chalet Hotels also manages upscale beach resorts and luxury wellness and leisure resorts, such as the recently acquired Westin Resort & Spa Himalayas. The company continuously expands room inventory and commercial assets through acquisitions, developments, and operational enhancements. Recent major developments include the acquisition of Mahananda Spa and Resorts, owner of The Westin Resort & Spa Himalayas, in early 2025 for ₹5.3 billion to strengthen its presence in the leisure, spiritual, and wellness tourism segments. In August 2024, Chalet acquired an 11-acre beachfront parcel in Varca, South Goa, for ₹1.4 billion to develop an upper upscale resort of approximately 190 keys, and signed a term sheet for about 15 acres at Bambolim, North Goa, for a luxury resort of around 170 rooms. The company enhanced its existing portfolio with the acquisition of Courtyard by Marriott Aravali Resort near Delhi NCR in 2024 and has ongoing projects to increase room inventory at Bengaluru Marriott Whitefield, Hyatt Regency Airoli, a Taj property near Delhi Airport, and additional rooms at The Dukes Retreat. Chalet Hotels launched ATHIVA, a premium lifestyle hospitality brand, with over 900 keys across six hotels including a flagship property in Khandala in October 2025. The firm has also embarked on commercial and residential real estate developments, including the CIGNUS Powai Tower 2 and a residential project in Koramangala, Bengaluru, targeting completion in FY2027 and FY2026 respectively.
