Business
Chemcon Speciality Chemicals Limited operates as an Indian manufacturer specializing in pharmaceutical intermediates, silanes, and oilfield chemicals, including completion fluids. Founded in 1996 and headquartered in Vadodara, Gujarat, the company serves the pharmaceutical, silicone, electronics, and oilfield industries with products manufactured in compliance with GMP guidelines. Its core product portfolio includes pharmaceutical intermediates, completion brines, calcium bromide powder, zinc and calcium bromide mixtures, silanes, and specialty chemicals tailored for oilfield applications. The company holds ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 14001:2015 certifications for quality and environmental management. In recent developments, Chemcon completed the acquisition of Shivam Petrochem Industries’ business through a slump sale agreement valued at approximately INR 36 crore, enhancing its operational scale and product offerings. The firm expanded its production capacity of completion fluids to 18,000 tons per annum and commenced production of Completion Dry 14.2 (Calcium Bromide powder) with a capacity of 3,500 tons per annum. It appointed Mr. Neel Shah as an additional independent director and approved material related party transactions with the acquired Shivam Petrochem Industries, which is part of its promoter group. The company’s strategic focus remains on in-house process development for bromination and hydrochlorination technologies, maintaining leadership in the Indian market for products like Hexamethyldisilazane. Chemcon actively pursues new product development to support sustainable and efficient farming, alongside pharmaceutical and specialty chemical markets across India and selected international clients. Its sustained partnerships with major multinational pharmaceutical companies underline its strong market presence and commitment to high-quality product supply and timely delivery.
