- Volatility Shares Trust – 2x Chainlink ETF is a U.S.-domiciled, non-diversified exchange-traded fund sponsored and managed by Volatility Shares LLC that provides leveraged, exchange-traded exposure to Chainlink’s native digital asset, LINK. Trading under the ticker CHNU, the fund seeks daily investment results, before fees and expenses, that correspond generally to two times the daily performance of LINK; it is designed for sophisticated investors and traders seeking short-term leveraged exposure rather than long-term buy-and-hold replication of LINK’s performance. The fund does not directly purchase or hold spot LINK. Instead, it obtains exposure through LINK-referenced derivative financial instruments and/or other pooled investment vehicles and maintains cash and other collateral investments supporting those positions. Its principal offering is daily-reset 2x LINK-linked investment exposure, which can cause returns over periods longer than one day to differ materially, and potentially significantly, from twice LINK’s cumulative return because of daily compounding and volatility. CHNU is part of Volatility Shares’ crypto-linked ETF platform and serves U.S. investors through exchange-listed fund shares. Volatility Shares Trust was founded in 2021 and is headquartered in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, United States. The fund commenced trading on April 1, 2026, as part of Volatility Shares’ launch of six altcoin-linked ETFs, including the unleveraged Chainlink ETF (CHNL), Cardano ETF and 2x Cardano ETF, and Stellar ETF and 2x Stellar ETF. The 2026 launch represents the fund’s principal recent strategic development, expanding Volatility Shares’ leveraged crypto ETF offerings beyond its existing products into daily 2x exposure to Chainlink and other alternative digital assets.
