COLTENE Holding AG develops, manufactures and sells consumables, disposables, tools and small equipment for dentists and dental laboratories worldwide. The company offers a comprehensive product portfolio spanning six key segments including endodontics with root canal files, rinsing solutions, obturation systems and post systems; restorative dentistry encompassing temporary and permanent filling materials, adhesive systems and polymerization lamps; prosthetics featuring condensation and addition cross-linking impression materials; treatment auxiliaries such as aspirator tips, dental dams, wound care and cotton wool products; infection control with thermal disinfectors, washers, cleaning and disinfecting wipes and autoclaves; and rotating instruments including high-performance rotary tools and diamond burs like ALPEN. Subsidiaries and brands include SciCan for hygiene products, MicroMega for endodontic instruments, KENDA for dental silicone polishers, Diatech for cutting instruments and CEI. COLTENE Holding AG, founded in 2005 and headquartered in Altstätten, Switzerland, operates production facilities in the USA, Canada, Germany, France, Hungary and Switzerland, with sales organizations across Europe, the Middle East, Africa, North America, Latin America, Asia and Oceania targeting dentists, dental service organizations, clinics and laboratories. In recent developments, the company reports strong financial growth for 2024 with net sales up 3.1% to CHF 250.3 million and an improved EBIT margin of 10.6%, driven by economies of scale, cost controls and its Operational Excellence strategy including a global procurement organization; launches new innovations at IDS 2025 such as HySolate Liquid Dam for gingiva protection, Kenda ShapeGuard polishing system, MicroMega One Glider and RECI Glider endodontic files, RoeKo Gelatamp hemostatic gels and BRILLIANT Lumina hydrogen peroxide-free whitening; introduces the HYDRIM 112W washer-disinfector in North America to reduce manual labor and costs by up to 60%; and appoints Matthias Altendorf as new Chairman of the Board following the 2025 Annual General Meeting.
