Business
Coral Newsprints Ltd manufactures newsprint and absorbent kraft papers of varying grammages at its facility in Gajraula, Moradabad, Uttar Pradesh; the company produces newsprint primarily for newspapers, magazines, rough notes, and affordable books, alongside absorbent kraft paper used in laminated mica sheets and industrial packaging applications, cream wove paper for writing and printing, cup stock paper, institutional paper, and other specialty papers including kraft paper and rough notebook stock. Coral Newsprints operates segments encompassing writing and printing paper, industrial packaging paper, specialty paper, and newsprint, serving domestic markets in India with an installed capacity of 12,600 metric tons per annum. Incorporated on April 21, 1992, and headquartered in New Delhi, India, the company commenced commercial production for Phase I in July 1994 following a public issue in April 1995 that was oversubscribed 2.17 times; it maintains a workforce of approximately 25 employees under CEO Pushpendra Pratap Singh Chauhan. Recent financial performance reflects challenges, with standalone net sales dropping sharply to Rs 0.02 crore in December 2023 from prior periods and continued low revenue into 2024-2025 quarters amid negative profitability, including a net loss and low interest coverage ratio; public shareholding adjusted to 65.99% as of September 2025 from 67.77% in December 2024, while promoter holding remains low at around 22%. The company continues board meetings for unaudited financial results, such as those for quarters ended December 2024 and March 2024, with no reported acquisitions, partnerships, funding rounds, or major strategic expansions in the last 1-2 years.
