Business
Davide Campari-Milano N.V. is a leading Italian holding company in the branded beverage industry, primarily engaged in the production, distribution, and marketing of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages. Founded in 1860 and headquartered in Sesto San Giovanni, Italy, the company operates through geographic segments including the Americas; Southern Europe, Middle East and Africa; Northern, Central and Eastern Europe; and Asia-Pacific. Campari's extensive product portfolio features over 50 premium and super-premium brands spanning spirits such as aperitifs, vodka, whisky, tequila, rum, gin, liqueurs, and cognac, alongside sparkling and still wines. Key global priority brands include Campari, Aperol, SKYY Vodka, Wild Turkey, Appleton Estate, Grand Marnier, and the recently acquired Courvoisier cognac brand. The company also produces non-alcoholic beverages including aperitifs under the Crodino brand, sodas, and mineral water. Campari operates 21 production plants worldwide and controls its own distribution network in 20 countries, with products distributed across more than 190 countries, with strong market positions in Europe and the Americas. In the past two years, Davide Campari-Milano has pursued strategic growth through acquisitions and portfolio streamlining, highlighted by the April 2024 acquisition of Courvoisier S.A.S., enhancing its presence in the premium cognac segment. The company has also invested in operational improvements including the purchase of a new headquarters and undertook restructuring and reorganization initiatives to improve efficiency and cost management. Its 2024 financial performance reflected organic revenue growth of 2.4% and overall growth of 5.2%, supported by geographic expansion and brand strength despite macroeconomic challenges. Campari continues to focus on brand building, innovation, and optimizing its operating model with the creation of Houses of Brands to better leverage its portfolio. Davide Campari-Milano positions itself as the sixth-largest global player in the premium spirits industry, targeting a diverse customer base across multiple international markets. It offers an integrated portfolio that includes iconic brands such as Aperol, Campari, and Grand Marnier, as well as regional and local priority brands to cater to varied consumer preferences. Backed by a strong heritage since its founding and continued expansion, Campari emphasizes sustainable growth, operational excellence, and portfolio premiumization to maintain competitive advantage worldwide. The company remains controlled by the Luxembourg-based holding Lagfin S.C.A. and is publicly listed on the Italian Stock Exchange. This comprehensive product range, global footprint, and recent strategic initiatives underscore Davide Campari-Milano’s role as a key player in the international beverage sector with continued momentum toward premiumization and innovation across its diversified offerings.
