- Crystal Rock Holdings, Inc. (NYSE MKT: CRVP), operating through its subsidiary Crystal Rock LLC, markets and distributes bottled water, coffee service, office supplies, refreshment beverages, and other break room products to commercial offices and residential customers throughout the Northeast United States, including New York, New England, and New Jersey. The company offers natural spring water under the Vermont Pure and Crystal Rock Waters brands; purified water with added minerals; still and sparkling waters in 3- and 5-gallon reusable bottles; coffee under the Cool Beans, Baronet, and Keurig Green Mountain brands; office products under the Crystal Rock Office brand, including traditional supplies, furniture, janitorial items, and sanitation products; water coolers, hot-and-cold dispensers, point-of-use filtration units, and coffee brewing equipment for rental or sale; as well as soft drinks, snacks, tea, and other hot beverage supplies distributed via direct routes, third-party distributors, vending machines, and online channels. Founded in 1914 (or circa 1917 per some records) by Henry Baker Sr. and headquartered at 1050 Buckingham Street in Watertown, Connecticut, Crystal Rock serves as the largest independent provider of such delivery services in its markets.
In March 2018, Crystal Rock Holdings was acquired by Cott Corporation for approximately $35 million at $0.97 per share in cash through a tender offer and subsequent merger, after which its shares ceased trading on the NYSE MKT and it became a wholly owned subsidiary focused on integrating into Cott's North American home and office bottled water delivery platform. Cott Corporation was later rebranded and evolved into Primo Water Corporation, which continues to operate the Crystal Rock brand as part of its portfolio of sustainable hydration solutions, including large-format water delivery, exchange stations, refill stations, and filtration systems now prominently featured on crystalrock.com. As of November 2024, Primo Water merged with BlueTriton Brands in an all-stock transaction to form Primo Brands, a leading North American pure-play healthy hydration company with expanded distribution for brands like Crystal Rock alongside Primo Water, Mountain Valley, Crystal Springs, and others, targeting enhanced scale and $200 million in run-rate cost synergies.
