Business
Petrolina (Holdings) Public Ltd. is a Cyprus-based downstream energy and petroleum marketing company engaged in the importation, storage, blending, distribution, and retail of refined petroleum products, lubricants, liquefied petroleum gas (LPG), and clean energy solutions. Founded in 1959 and headquartered in Larnaca, Cyprus, the company serves retail consumers, commercial transport fleets, agricultural enterprises, industrial facilities, maritime shipping vessels, and international aviation carriers. The company offers a comprehensive portfolio of energy products and support services structured across core operating categories: automotive fuels, including unleaded gasoline, Eurodiesel, heating gasoil, kerosene, and high-performance fuel formulations under the Petrolina Platinum brand; lubricants and greases, comprising passenger car motor oils, heavy-duty diesel engine oils, agricultural machinery fluids, industrial lubricants, and specialized marine oils marketed under the proprietary Petrolina brand as well as licensed international brands including Eni and Agip; liquefied petroleum gas, covering domestic LPG cylinders, bulk propane and butane distributions for commercial heating and industrial processes, and Autogas for LPG-powered vehicles; aviation fueling services, providing into-plane refueling of Jet A-1 and aviation gasoline (AvGas) at Larnaca International Airport and Paphos International Airport; marine bunkering services, supplying marine gasoil and technical lubricants to domestic and international commercial shipping vessels at major Cypriot ports and offshore anchorages; and retail station services, operating an extensive nationwide network of service stations under the Petrolina, Eni, and Agip banners equipped with P-Stop convenience stores, automated car wash bays, vehicle maintenance check points, and automated fleet fuel card management programs. In recent strategic and operational developments, Petrolina has executed major infrastructure modernization and geographic expansion initiatives. The company successfully completed the decommissioning of its legacy Larnaca coastal fuel depot and relocated all storage and distribution operations to a state-of-the-art liquid fuel terminal at the Vassiliko Energy Center, alongside participating in the VLPG Plant Ltd consortium for centralized LPG importation, storage, and bottling facilities. On its vacated beachfront land in Larnaca, the company launched the multi-phase Land of Tomorrow master-planned sustainable urban regeneration project to develop mixed-use commercial, residential, tourism, and green spaces. In addition, Petrolina expanded its international footprint into Greece through the strategic acquisition of petroleum marketing firm Silk Oil S.A., integrating retail filling stations and wholesale distribution assets across mainland Greece and the Aegean islands. To support energy transition goals, the company has deployed its e-Charge fast-charging network for electric vehicles across its retail service station footprint and broadened investments in utility-scale photovoltaic solar parks and renewable energy production.
