Incorporated in 2011 and headquartered in Colombo, Sri Lanka, the company operates as a subsidiary of Hikkaduwa Beach Resort PLC within the Citrus Leisure PLC corporate group. Waskaduwa Beach Resort PLC serves domestic and international leisure travelers, corporate clients, and event organizers through an integrated range of hospitality products and services, including: luxury lodging accommodations comprising 150 ocean-view guest rooms and suites across Superior Rooms, Deluxe Suites, Executive Suites, and Presidential Suites; comprehensive food and beverage operations encompassing the Lemon Sun multi-cuisine restaurant, Pomelo Hi cocktail lounge, Sky Lime Beach Lounge, Aqua Peel poolside bar, Pips n' Sips coffee shop, in-room dining, and bespoke outdoor banqueting; meeting, incentive, conference, and exhibition (MICE) and wedding facilities anchored by the pillar-less Mandarin Shore Grand Ballroom with a capacity exceeding 550 guests, the secondary Blue Orchard Ballroom, and extensive beachfront lawns for outdoor ceremonies; and wellness and recreation services featuring an Asian- and Ayurveda-inspired spa, sauna and steam facilities, a fully equipped fitness center, an outdoor swimming pool, and direct beach leisure access. In major recent developments, the company concluded an oversubscribed Rights Issue in May 2024, raising LKR 678.3 million via the allotment of 376.8 million ordinary voting shares to retire borrowings and restructure balance sheet liabilities. Furthermore, over the last two years, the company has implemented focused operational rationalization, targeted product repositioning, and enhanced yield-management strategies to leverage the ongoing recovery in international tourist arrivals across primary source markets and to maximize operational synergies within the Citrus Leisure resort cluster.
