In recent strategic developments, Lankem Ceylon PLC expanded its agricultural manufacturing capabilities by establishing a multi-billion-rupee fertilizer production facility in Oyamaduwa, Anuradhapura, through its wholly owned subsidiary Lankem Minerals Limited, and launching Sri Lanka's first locally produced Single Super Phosphate fertilizer branded as Mada Raja to reduce import dependence. Additionally, the company entered into an exclusive strategic partnership with Axalta Coating Systems to distribute international-grade automotive refinishes and industrial coatings nationwide, acquired a 50.15% controlling interest in York Arcade Holdings PLC as part of a corporate realignment, increased its equity stake in ACME Printing & Packaging PLC, and expanded its central logistics infrastructure with advanced warehouse management systems to support its expanding distribution channels.
