Business
Clean Seed Capital Group Ltd. is a Canada-based agricultural technology company that designs, develops and commercializes precision seeding and planting equipment in the agriculture industry; it offers SMART Seeder technologies featuring electronic metering, intuitive software control and row-by-row variable rate capabilities to enhance crop yields, reduce input costs including seeds and fertilizers, and minimize environmental impact; core products include the SMART Seeder MAX series with models such as MAX-4, MAX-5 and MAX-S tailored for North American large grain markets, as well as the scaled-down Mini-MAX for developing countries. Founded in 2010 and headquartered in Burnaby, British Columbia, the company targets farmers and distributors globally, with patent coverage spanning over 80% of the $9.2 billion seeding and planting equipment market and key regions including North America, India, Brazil, Europe and Australia. In recent developments, Clean Seed maintains its strategic partnership with Mahindra and Mahindra Limited, the world's largest tractor manufacturer by volume, under 10-year renewable technology license and white-label manufacturing agreements signed following a 2023 MOU, enabling Mahindra to produce and distribute the SMART Seeder Mini-MAX branded as Mahindra Maxeeder worldwide with first production runs of 50 units scheduled for Brazil, Mexico, Canada and Mahindra's own markets in 2025; the company appointed Jeet Jheetey as Chief Operating Officer in September 2025 to drive global growth and expanded its relationship with a leading global OEM in September 2025, while securing a major United States patent in November 2025 covering multi-product precision delivery architecture.
