Business
Dalmia Bharat Limited, along with its associated entities, stands as a prominent Indian conglomerate engaged primarily in the production and distribution of various building materials for both individual consumers and large-scale institutional clients. The company offers a comprehensive range of cement solutions, including Portland Pozzolana Cement, Portland Composite Cement, Portland Slag Cement, and Ordinary Portland Cement, in addition to specialized variants designed for specific applications like oil wells and railway infrastructure. These products are marketed under well-recognized names such as Dalmia Cement, Konark Cement, and Dalmia DSP, alongside newer brands like Dalmia Supreme and Dalmia Infra Pro. Beyond its core cement operations, the enterprise maintains significant interests in the sugar sector, producing a variety of grades and expanding its ethanol manufacturing capabilities. It also operates power generation facilities, often utilizing renewable sources like bagasse, to meet internal demands and contribute to the grid. While historically involved in refractories, Dalmia Bharat divested its Indian refractory business in fiscal year 2022-23. With an installed cement manufacturing capacity that reached 49.5 million tonnes per annum in FY2025, the company serves a broad clientele encompassing homebuilders, commercial establishments, and government bodies engaged in infrastructure projects across more than 23 states through an extensive network of channel partners. A key aspect of its strategy is a deep commitment to environmental stewardship, aiming to achieve carbon-negative status by 2040 through investments in clean energy transitions and sustainable production methods. Tracing its origins back to 1939, Dalmia Bharat Limited, formerly known as Odisha Cement Limited until its name change in April 2019, continues to operate from its headquarters in New Delhi, India.
