Business
Dilip Buildcon Limited is a leading Indian engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) company specializing in infrastructure development. The company primarily focuses on roads and highways; bridges; water sanitation and sewage systems; irrigation projects; industrial, commercial, and residential buildings; mining operations including mining and excavation services; and renewable energy infrastructure including solar power projects. Dilip Buildcon operates extensively across India, with projects in multiple states including Rajasthan, Kerala, Madhya Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, and Puducherry. Founded in 1987 and headquartered in Indore, India, the company has built a robust portfolio with significant expertise in complex highway development, water infrastructure, and urban and industrial infrastructure. In the last 1-2 years, Dilip Buildcon has expanded its footprint through joint ventures securing large contracts for significant infrastructure projects. Notably, the DBL-RAMKY consortium won a Rs 2,905 crore contract to develop the Rajasthan Water Grid Project under a Hybrid Annuity Model with a 27-month completion timeline and a 20-year maintenance period. The DBL-PSP joint venture secured an EPC contract worth Rs 1,115.37 crore for the Kerala Industrial Corridor Development, part of the Chennai-Bengaluru Industrial Corridor extension, scheduled for completion within 42 months. Additionally, Dilip Buildcon's joint venture DBL-APMPL, holding 74 percent stake, obtained a letter of acceptance for a 100 MW grid-connected ground-mounted solar photovoltaic power project in Madhya Pradesh to supply power for 25 years. The company also emerged as the lowest bidder for a Rs 5,000 crore mining development operations (MDO) contract floated by National Aluminium Company Limited (NALCO). These recent contracts and strategic moves reflect Dilip Buildcon’s focus on diversifying its portfolio into water infrastructure, renewable energy, and mining sectors alongside its core roads and highways business. The company leverages its strong order book across various business segments including road construction, water distribution, mining, tunnels, and smart city infrastructure, operating primarily in India with about 19 states and one union territory under its operational ambit. The company emphasizes technological integration and project execution efficiency, maintaining a large fleet of construction equipment to support its operations. Dilip Buildcon is one of the fastest-growing infrastructure companies in India, with a strong emphasis on building nation-scale infrastructure sustainably and innovatively.
