Business
DoubleLine Opportunistic Core Bond ETF (NYSE Arca: DBND) is an actively managed exchange-traded fund that seeks to maximize current income and total return over a full market cycle by investing primarily in fixed income instruments across global sectors. The fund, advised by DoubleLine ETF Adviser LP, a subsidiary of DoubleLine Capital LP, allocates at least 80% of its net assets to bonds and similar securities, including U.S. Government and Agency securities; Agency Residential Mortgage-Backed Securities (RMBS); Non-Agency RMBS; Commercial MBS; investment grade and high yield corporate bonds; bank loans; asset-backed securities; collateralized loan obligations; and international fixed income from developed and emerging markets. It maintains a dollar-weighted average effective duration of two to eight years and may allocate up to 50% to below-investment-grade bonds, targeting institutional and retail investors seeking intermediate core-plus bond exposure benchmarked against the Bloomberg U.S. Aggregate Bond Index. Launched on March 31, 2022, with Jeffrey Gundlach as CEO and Chief Investment Officer and Jeffrey Sherman as Deputy Chief Investment Officer and co-portfolio manager, the ETF manages approximately $568 million in net assets across 987 holdings as of October 2025, with a gross expense ratio of 0.45% and a 30-day net SEC yield of 4.41%. In a significant recent development, the fund changed its name from DoubleLine Opportunistic Bond ETF to DoubleLine Opportunistic Core Bond ETF effective February 3, 2025, to better reflect its role within DoubleLine's Fixed Income Asset Allocation process; the management fee was concurrently reduced by 30%. DoubleLine Capital LP, the parent firm founded in 2009 and headquartered in Tampa, Florida, with additional offices in Los Angeles, California, oversees the ETF as part of its broader suite of eight fixed income and equity ETFs, employing active risk management and sector allocation strategies.
