Business
Dhampur Bio Organics Limited engages in integrated sugarcane processing, manufacturing refined sugar, raw sugar, sulphitation sugar, ethanol, extra neutral alcohol, sanitizer, country liquor with 25% and 36% alcohol content, biomass-based renewable power, organic fertilizers, and allied chemicals including SDS. The company operates through three segments: Sugar; Bio Fuels & Spirits; and Country Liquor, with forward integration into cogeneration of 95.50 megawatts and a molasses-based distillery of 312.5 KLPD, partially converted to dual-feed molasses and grain operations. It maintains three manufacturing plants in Asmoli, Mansurpur, and Meerganj in western-central Uttar Pradesh, India, serving food, fuel, beverage, and agricultural industries domestically and through exports, with headquarters in New Delhi. Incorporated in 2020 as RMSD Enterprises Private Limited following a demerger from Dhampur Sugar Mills Limited approved in 2022, the company leverages over nine decades of legacy in sugarcane processing. In November 2023, it commissioned capacity expansions at Asmoli from 9,000 TCD to 12,500 TCD and at Meerganj from 5,000 TCD to 9,000 TCD, lifting aggregate crushing capacity to 29,500 TCD. The company plans a dual-feed greenfield distillery at Meerganj with 250,000 LPD capacity, expandable to 375,000 LPD, targeted for operation by Q2 FY26, alongside adoption of newer cane varieties to counter red rot infestation and enhance yields. In late 2024, it acquired certain undertakings from Dhampur Sugar Mills Limited under the Competition Commission of India's green channel route.
