Founded in 1947 as Coates of India Private Limited and renamed DIC India Limited in 2004, the company is headquartered in Noida, Uttar Pradesh, with registered offices in Kolkata, West Bengal, and operates manufacturing facilities in Noida, Saykha (Gujarat), Bengaluru, Ahmedabad and additional blending, warehousing and R&D centres nationwide. In recent years, DIC India opened a new liquid inks manufacturing facility in Saykha, Gujarat (2023), launched food packaging safe inks for flexibles and flexo product offerings (2022), expanded adhesives production with a plant in Bengaluru (2019), commenced news ink production in Noida (2016), introduced advanced toluene- and ketone-free inks like AquaSmart and Sigma WAL for compliance and sustainability, enhanced R&D at Noida and Bengaluru centres for pan-Asia Pacific innovations, and intensified CSR efforts in 2024 focused on education via Project Deeksha and zero-waste management via Project Saksham in Saykha while achieving zero reportable safety incidents, 4% lower CO2 emissions per ton and 20% reduced water use per ton.
