Business
DocMorris AG operates as a leading European digital health company focused on online pharmacy, marketplace services, and professional health services. The company offers prescription medicines (Rx), over-the-counter (OTC) medicines, consumer health products, beauty and personal care (BPC) items, nutritional supplements, painkillers, first aid products, and private label OTC medicines through its core online pharmacy business; marketplace services providing assortment expansion via over 1,500 pharmacy and seller partners across Europe and fast delivery options including DocMorris Express same-day service; and professional health services encompassing telemedicine via TeleClinic with over 1,500 doctors and 1.6 million treatments delivered, partnerships with pharmaceutical companies for condition-specific digital health journeys on DocMorris Ratgeber, and solutions for health insurers including medication management, automated prescribing, direct billing, and pharmaceutical advice. DocMorris serves more than 10 million active customers primarily in Germany, the Netherlands, Spain, France, Portugal, and Switzerland, with brands such as DocMorris, PromoFarma by DocMorris, and TeleClinic; it generates the majority of revenue from its Germany segment including mail-order pharmacy and services for pharmacies, alongside its Europe segment marketplace operations. Founded in 1993 and headquartered in Frauenfeld, Switzerland, the company, formerly Zur Rose Group, rebranded to DocMorris AG in May 2023 following the sale of its Swiss business to Migros/Medbase to focus on core B2C operations mainly in Germany. Recent developments include a May 2025 annual general meeting approving a CHF 200 million capital increase with subscription rights to fund prescription medicines growth and potential convertible bond repayment, alongside 2024 revenue of CHF 1,085 million with 6.7% growth and accelerated Rx business expansion targeting 50% growth in early 2025; strategic partnerships such as dmr Advertising with LiveRamp and Criteo for retail media, TeleClinic with ADAC for digital healthcare access, and Klarna for payment streamlining; receipt of gematik approval for e-prescription redemption via health card, early redemption of 2025 convertible bonds, and CFO transition to Daniel Wüest; plus sustainability initiatives like reusable packaging testing and marketing campaigns emphasizing e-prescription accessibility.
