Donegal Investment Group plc engages in the development, purchase, sale, and distribution of seed potatoes; rental and sale of property assets; and related agricultural activities in Ireland, the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, France, and Brazil. The company, founded in 1898 and headquartered in Letterkenny, County Donegal, Ireland, primarily grows, produces, markets, and exports high-quality seed potatoes to growers, processors, packers, retailers, and consumers across Europe and internationally, with additional involvement in organic produce and property investments generating the majority of revenue from its Irish operations. Formerly known as Donegal Creameries plc, it rebranded in July 2013 following the 2011 divestiture of its dairy processing and retail divisions to Aurivo Co-operative Society Limited; more recently, in October 2025, shareholders approved the sale of its Irish Potato Marketing (IPM) business to Royal HZPC Group for €16.5 million in cash plus up to €4 million in contingent consideration, enabling a strategic shift with expected shareholder returns from proceeds, while it also completed property disposals and share repurchases including treasury shares in 2025.
