First Trust Exchange-Traded Fund VIII—FT Vest Nasdaq-100 Dual Directional Buffer ETF—June (NYSE Arca: DQJN) is a U.S.-domiciled, non-diversified exchange-traded fund launched on June 18, 2026, that seeks to provide, before fees and expenses, defined-outcome exposure to the price performance of the Invesco QQQ Trust, Series 1 over an approximately one-year Target Outcome Period ending in June. The Fund is advised by First Trust Advisors L.P., an affiliate of distributor First Trust Portfolios L.P., and is co-managed by Vest Financial LLC, whose Target Outcome trademarks are used in connection with the strategy. DQJN primarily invests in customized, exchange-traded FLEX Options referencing the Invesco QQQ Trust, which provides exposure to the Nasdaq-100 Index’s large-cap domestic and international non-financial constituents. Its investment strategy is designed to match the positive price return of the reference ETF up to a stated performance cap while providing inverse participation in negative reference-asset performance down to a predefined threshold and a buffer against a specified portion of losses beyond that threshold; the strategy excludes dividends, is subject to fees and expenses, and may not deliver intended outcomes for shares acquired after the beginning of, or sold before the end of, a Target Outcome Period. The Fund’s portfolio consists principally of long and short QQQ-referenced FLEX call and put options, and it may hold cash and cash equivalents in connection with portfolio management, creations and redemptions. DQJN is marketed to investors and financial professionals seeking structured, capped-upside Nasdaq-100 exposure combined with predefined downside and inverse-return features rather than unrestricted equity-market participation. The Fund represents a recent expansion of First Trust and Vest Financial’s Target Outcome ETF platform: it commenced operations in June 2026, establishes and resets its options-based outcome parameters for each annual June cycle, and provides ongoing Target Outcome Period information and product literature to reflect then-current caps, thresholds and buffers.
