Business
Strive U.S. Energy ETF (DRLL) is a passively managed exchange-traded fund that provides broad market exposure to the U.S. energy sector by tracking the Bloomberg US Energy Select Index; top holdings include Exxon Mobil Corp, Chevron Corp, ConocoPhillips, Marathon Petroleum Corp, and Phillips 66, with energy sub-sectors encompassing crude petroleum, natural gas, bituminous coal, hydroelectric power, nuclear electric power, solar, wind, geothermal, biomass, and related services across the U.S. energy supply chain. The ETF engages in corporate governance practices, including proxy voting and proactive engagement with management teams and boards, to prioritize shareholder returns and operational excellence without regard to ESG agendas. Launched on August 9, 2022, and listed on the NYSE Arca, DRLL carries an expense ratio of 0.41% and distributes net investment income quarterly as dividends. DRLL is issued by Strive Funds, part of Strive Asset Management, LLC, an investment management firm founded in 2022 and headquartered in Dallas, Texas following its relocation from Columbus, Ohio in late 2024. The fund targets investors seeking concentrated, cost-efficient access to U.S. energy equities, primarily large-cap oil and gas producers and refiners. In April 2024, DRLL underwent a significant benchmark change from the Solactive United States Energy Regulated Capped Index TR to the Bloomberg US Energy Select Index, enhancing its alignment with broader U.S. energy market performance. Strive Asset Management has since expanded its offerings, crossing $1.7 billion in assets under management and launching initiatives like a $500 million preferred stock program in late 2025 to support corporate strategies including Bitcoin treasury growth, alongside new wealth management services. No major acquisitions, partnerships, or name changes specific to DRLL have been reported in the last 1-2 years.
