Business
Tamijuddin Textile Mills PLC is a Bangladesh-based textile manufacturing enterprise primarily engaged in the spinning, production, and marketing of high-grade cotton and blended yarns. The company offers a diverse portfolio of spinning products, including 100% combed cotton yarn; 100% carded cotton yarn; polyester-cotton (PC) blended yarn; chief value cotton (CVC) blended yarn; cotton-melange yarn; ring-spun yarn; open-end rotor yarn; and specialized counts of knitting and weaving yarns ranging from coarse to fine yarn specifications. These products primarily cater to domestic export-oriented readymade garment (RMG) manufacturers, knitwear factories, and woven fabric producers supplying global apparel markets. Founded in 1983 and headquartered in Dhaka, Bangladesh, the company operates integrated manufacturing and spinning facilities located in Konabari, Gazipur. In recent developments, the company executed strategic Balancing, Modernization, Replacement, and Expansion (BMRE) programs across its spinning divisions, installing advanced automated machinery and energy-efficient autoconers to increase production output, enhance tensile yarn quality, and reduce operating costs. Additionally, following its formal corporate reconstitution to a public limited company (PLC) and its successful migration from the over-the-counter (OTC) market to the Main Board of the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and the Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE), the enterprise expanded its captive energy infrastructure to bolster production continuity against industrial utility constraints.
