Business
WisdomTree International Equity Fund (DWM) is an exchange-traded fund that seeks to track the performance, before fees and expenses, of the WisdomTree International Equity Index, providing exposure to dividend-paying companies in the developed world outside the U.S. and Canada. The fund employs a fundamentally weighted approach based on annual dividend paid by companies incorporated in developed markets including Europe, Japan, Australia and the Far East; it invests in a broad portfolio across market capitalizations, with approximately 78% in large-cap stocks, 13% in mid-cap and 8% in small-cap equities as of July 2025. Key sector allocations include financial services (24%), industrials (18%), consumer cyclical (10%) and consumer defensive (9%); top country weights feature Japan (20%), United Kingdom (14%), France (11%), Switzerland (8%) and Germany (7%), with holdings diversified across roughly 1,400 securities and top positions in companies such as HSBC Holdings, Novartis and British American Tobacco. Launched on June 16, 2006, and domiciled in the United States with an expense ratio of 0.48%, the fund is issued by WisdomTree Trust and traded on NYSE Arca. It targets investors seeking income-focused international diversification, complementing broad-based developed market strategies with a dividend tilt that emphasizes yield (3.89% portfolio dividend yield) and value characteristics (P/E ratio of 13.97). The fund maintains assets under management of approximately $583 million as of July 2025, with quarterly rebalancing to reflect the underlying index methodology. WisdomTree, the fund's sponsor, completed the acquisition of Ceres Partners, LLC, a leading U.S. farmland investment manager overseeing nearly $2 billion in assets, in October 2025, marking its entry into private markets beyond ETFs. This strategic expansion adds uncorrelated real asset exposure through Ceres' portfolio of 545 farmland properties across 12 Midwestern and U.S. states, enhancing WisdomTree's offerings in income-generating alternatives amid growing demand for private assets. No recent changes specific to DWM have been reported, though the fund benefits from WisdomTree's broader platform innovations including exchange-traded products, managed models and tokenization.
