iShares MSCI Indonesia ETF (EIDO) is an exchange-traded fund that seeks to track the investment results of the MSCI Indonesia IMI 25/50 Index, a free float-adjusted market capitalization-weighted index designed to measure the performance of large-, mid-, and small-cap segments of the Indonesian equity market. The fund invests at least 80% of its assets in the component securities of the underlying index and in depositary receipts representing securities in the index, providing broad exposure to approximately 99% of Indonesia's free float-adjusted market capitalization across diverse sectors including financials, materials, consumer staples, energy, industrials, and communication services; top holdings typically include PT Bank Central Asia Tbk (BBCA), PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (BBRI), and PT Bank Mandiri (Persero) Tbk (BMRI). Managed passively by BlackRock Fund Advisors with an expense ratio of 0.59%, EIDO distributes dividends qualified under U.S. tax treatment and is listed on NYSE Arca under the ticker EIDO (ISIN US46429B3096). Launched on May 5, 2010, and domiciled in the United States with assets under management around $300 million as of late 2025, the ETF targets investors seeking targeted access to Indonesian equities without direct currency hedging, operating primarily through U.S. exchanges while providing geographic focus on Indonesia. No major structural changes, such as index reconstitutions, new product launches, partnerships, acquisitions, funding rounds, or reorganizations, have been reported for EIDO in the last 1-2 years; the fund maintains its established passive tracking methodology amid ongoing market performance influenced by Indonesian economic conditions.
