Business
Elicera Therapeutics AB (publ) is a clinical-stage immuno-oncology company based in Gothenburg, Sweden, specializing in the development of cell and gene therapies for cancer treatment. The company’s core products include four drug candidates: ELC-100, an oncolytic virus in Phase I/IIa clinical trials for treating neuroendocrine tumors; ELC-201, an oncolytic virus in preclinical development targeting solid tumors; ELC-301, a CAR T-cell therapy in Phase I/IIa clinical trials for Non-Hodgkin's B-cell lymphoma; and ELC-401, a CAR T-cell therapy in preclinical stage for brain tumors, including glioblastoma. Elicera also develops the proprietary iTANK platform, a universal CAR T-cell technology designed to enhance immune response against solid tumors through multi-targeted attacks, which it licenses to academic and industry partners. Key collaborations include partnerships with the Vecura R&D division at Karolinska University Hospital and Uppsala University for automated production technology, as well as an agreement with a prominent US cancer center to evaluate iTANK in T-cell receptor therapies. Recent major developments comprise completion of patient recruitment for the Phase I/II study of ELC-100, Orphan Drug Designation granted for ELC-100 in the US, initiation of clinical Phase I/II studies for ELC-301 with positive early safety and efficacy signals, and strategic collaboration support secured through LifeSci Consulting to explore partnering initiatives. The company was founded in 2014 and continues to expand its clinical pipeline and strategic alliances to advance next-generation immunotherapies addressing both liquid and solid tumors across multiple geographies.
