Business
Embellence Group AB (publ) acquires, owns and develops premium brands in wallpaper, textiles, rugs and other interior decoration products worldwide. Founded in 1905 and headquartered in Borås, Sweden, the company operates through its brands segment, which includes Boråstapeter offering wallpapers with over 10,000 designs inspired by Swedish heritage; Cole & Son, known for authentic British wallpapers supplied to royal and historic sites; Wall&decò providing customizable wallpapers including innovative performance lines such as OUT System, WET System and SOUND System; Artscape specializing in decorative and privacy window films; and Pappelina producing premium plastic rugs, blankets, cushions and trays using Swedish craftsmanship; as well as its manufacturing segment encompassing Borås Tapetfabrik, which delivers custom design, product development and production services using traditional and digital printing techniques for wallpaper companies, designers, lifestyle brands and construction firms. Products are sold in over 100 markets, with key presence in Europe, North America and beyond, targeting retailers, hospitality projects and direct-to-consumer channels. In May 2024, Embellence Group updated its growth strategy at a Capital Markets Day to prioritize profitable organic growth of its existing brands over aggressive M&A, setting new long-term sales targets based on organic expansion while retaining leverage below 2.5x EBITDA and planning sustainability goals for spring 2025; during Q2 2025, it appointed Johan Andgren as CEO, recruited Henrik Andersson as Pappelina Managing Director and Kajsa Hjelm as Head of E-commerce, relocated Pappelina's head office to Borås, launched an updated online platform for Artscape and replaced Cole & Son's platform ahead of 2026 impacts.
