Business
Emerald Resources NL (ASX: EMU; OTC: EOGSF) is an Australian gold producer and explorer focused on developing and operating high-quality gold assets. The company owns and operates the Okvau Gold Mine in Cambodia, which produces gold doré bars from underground mining operations; it also holds exploration interests in Western Australia, including tenements at the nearby Tiger Creek and Drouin Hill prospects. Emerald Resources offers gold production services, mine development, and resource expansion through drilling and feasibility studies, targeting institutional investors and gold markets primarily in Asia-Pacific regions. Founded in 1987 and headquartered in Perth, Australia, the company expanded its geographic footprint with the 2017 acquisition of the Okvau project, transitioning from exploration to production in Southeast Asia. Its business segments include gold mining operations and advanced exploration, serving wholesale gold buyers and commodity trading entities. In the last two years, Emerald Resources achieved record quarterly gold production of 24,854 ounces at Okvau in Q3 2025, alongside strong all-in sustaining costs below industry averages; it also advanced strategic expansions, including a resource upgrade at Tiger Creek to over 200,000 ounces and ongoing feasibility work for production growth. The company secured a US$30 million gold prepayment facility in 2024 to fund development without equity dilution, and in 2025, it reported maiden reserves at Drouin Hill while maintaining a debt-free balance sheet with significant free cash flow generation. These initiatives underscore its shift toward multi-asset production and resource pipeline development in stable jurisdictions.
