Business
Ensign Energy Services Inc. provides land-based contract drilling and well servicing to crude oil, natural gas and geothermal operators in Canada, the United States and internationally. In recent developments, Fairfax Financial Holdings increases its ownership to 18.19% through additional share purchases in 2024; the company reports third quarter 2025 revenue of $411.2 million. Ensign acquires Nabors' 35 land-based drilling rigs in Canada in 2021 and consolidates its Kuwait and Bahrain operations by taking full ownership of the Trinidad Drilling International joint venture in 2020, while selling its Canadian directional drilling business to Cathedral Energy Services in 2022.
