Business
Elixir Energy Limited (ASX:EXR) is an Australia-based gas exploration and development company focused on coal seam gas (CSG) and natural gas projects. Incorporated in 2004 and headquartered in Adelaide, the company holds 100% interests in the Grandis Gas Project (ATP 2044, ATP 2077A and ATP 2077B) and the Diona Gas Project (ATP 2077C) in Queensland's Taroom Trough, Bowen Basin; it also maintains 50% working interests in ATP 2056 and ATP 2057 through farmout agreements with a Santos subsidiary. Core assets target coal-bed methane resources totaling approximately 3 trillion cubic feet equivalent (TCFE) in 2C contingent resources, including 1.7 TCFE at Grandis (with recent certification additions of 365 billion cubic feet) and 1.2 TCFE at the Santos-farmin permits; operations emphasize appraisal drilling, seismic surveys and resource conversion to reserves for east coast gas markets and potential LNG export via nearby Walumbilla infrastructure. The company previously explored assets in Mongolia and the United States but now prioritizes Queensland for near-term commercialization. In late 2024, Elixir completed the Daydream-2 appraisal well, which intersected a permeable sandstone zone flowing gas to surface; in November 2025, it secured a A$16.6 million capital raising led by Omega Oil and Gas Limited (acquiring a 19.43% stake) and Nero Resource Fund, accelerating Phase 2 of its strategic plan including the Lorelle-3 appraisal program starting January 2026, Teelba seismic survey and Diona-1 evaluation.
