Business
Fidelity Digital Health ETF (FDHT) is an exchange-traded fund that seeks to provide investment returns corresponding, before fees and expenses, to the performance of the Fidelity Digital Health Index, a market-cap-weighted index comprising globally listed companies involved in digital health technologies, including telemedicine, health analytics, electronic health records, robotic surgery, and related healthcare innovations. The fund normally invests at least 80% of its assets in securities included in the index and depositary receipts representing such securities, with key holdings such as ResMed Inc., Koninklijke Philips N.V., Veeva Systems Inc., DexCom Inc., and Insulet Corporation, spanning sectors primarily in health care (approximately 88%) along with technology and consumer discretionary; it features 63 holdings as of mid-2025, a net expense ratio of 0.40%, and assets under management of approximately $8.5 million. Launched on October 5, 2021, and listed principally on the Cboe BZX Exchange, the ETF targets investors seeking exposure to a global universe of digital health firms across market capitalizations, with significant geographic concentration in the United States (over 70%), Switzerland, Denmark, and other regions including New Zealand, Europe, and Asia. In a significant recent development, Fidelity Investments announced on October 16, 2025, the liquidation of FDHT along with four other ETFs, marking a major operational change for the fund as it winds down operations. Prior to this, the ETF had maintained steady holdings adjustments reflecting evolving digital health trends, including increased weighting toward companies like Hims & Hers Health and JD Health International, but no notable acquisitions, partnerships, funding rounds, or new product launches were reported in the last 1-2 years. The fund, managed by Fidelity and domiciled in the United States, continues to distribute dividends (yielding approximately 1.5% trailing twelve months) until liquidation proceedings conclude.
