Business
First Trust Large Cap Growth AlphaDEX Fund (FTC) is an exchange-traded fund that seeks investment results corresponding generally to the price and yield, before fees and expenses, of the Nasdaq AlphaDEX Large Cap Growth Index. The fund normally invests at least 90% of its net assets, including investment borrowings, in common stocks comprising the index, which employs the AlphaDEX stock selection methodology to select growth-oriented securities from the Nasdaq US 500 Large Cap Growth Index; top holdings as of late 2025 include Alphabet Inc., Expedia Group Inc., Comfort Systems USA Inc., Amphenol Corp., Broadcom Inc., Vertiv Holdings Co., Lam Research Corp., Quanta Services Inc., RTX Corp. and Advanced Micro Devices Inc., spanning sectors such as information technology, industrials, consumer discretionary, financials and communication services. Launched on May 8, 2007 and domiciled in the United States with First Trust Advisors L.P. as sponsor, the fund has approximately $1.26 billion in assets under management, an expense ratio of 0.60%, 189 holdings and trades on Nasdaq. The fund changed its underlying index on April 8, 2016, from the Defined Large Cap Growth Index to the Nasdaq AlphaDEX Large Cap Growth Index, impacting historical performance comparability prior to that date. It continues routine quarterly rebalancing and portfolio adjustments, with recent changes in 2025 including additions such as Motorola Solutions Inc. and Kimco Realty Corp. as of October 7. The fund targets large-cap growth investors seeking enhanced alpha through systematic, rules-based selection within the U.S. equity market, with quarterly dividend distributions and a yield of 0.35% trailing twelve months.
