- Gujarat Ambuja Exports Limited (GAEL) manufactures corn starch derivatives, soya derivatives, feed ingredients, cotton yarn and edible oils. The company produces liquid glucose, sorbitol, dextrose anhydrous, dextrose monohydrate, maltodextrin, high fructose corn syrup, maize oil, soya flour, lecithin, rapeseed meals, cattle feed, vanaspati ghee, RBD palmolein oil, cotton seed refined oil and food grains. Incorporated in 1991 and headquartered in Ahmedabad, India, GAEL operates maize processing plants with 4,000 TPD capacity including a new 1,200 TPD greenfield facility at Sitarganj, Uttarakhand; soybean crushing facilities totaling 4,600 TPD across Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh and Maharashtra; edible oil refining at 1,200 TPD; wheat milling; and a cotton yarn spinning plant with 65,520 spindles in Himmatnagar, Gujarat. It serves the food, pharmaceutical, animal feed, confectionery, bakery, paint, cosmetic, paper, textile and industrial sectors with 69% domestic revenue from India and 31% exports to over 100 countries. In January 2025, the board approved and completed the acquisition of a 25% stake in Maiz Citchem Limited, making it a wholly-owned subsidiary.
