Business
Genter Capital International Dividend ETF (GENW) is an actively managed exchange-traded fund that seeks current income and long-term capital appreciation by investing primarily in foreign equity securities with records of paying dividends; up to 20% of assets may be allocated to domestic equity securities deriving more than 30% of revenues from non-U.S. operations. The fund maintains a diversified portfolio of 25 to 50 securities, targeting companies with market capitalizations of $2 billion or higher at purchase, spread across multiple economic sectors including financials, consumer goods, industrials, and materials; investments are predominantly executed via American Depository Receipts (ADRs) of issuers organized or principally operating outside the United States, across developed and emerging markets in Europe, Asia-Pacific, and other global regions. Selection follows a proprietary three-step process emphasizing dividend growth over the prior four quarters, investment-grade debt ratings, favorable valuations, balance sheet strength, and potential for capital appreciation, with sales triggered by dividend reductions exceeding 10%, yield shortfalls, deteriorating financial metrics, or credit downgrades. Launched on December 31, 2024, GENW represents a recent expansion by its sub-advisor, Genter Capital Management LP, which concurrently introduced the Genter Capital Dividend Income ETF (GEND) in January 2025 to broaden its suite of dividend-focused strategies alongside existing fixed income and equity ETFs. Genter Capital Management, founded in 1968 and headquartered in Los Angeles, California, serves as sub-advisor with portfolio managers David Pescherine, David P. Klatt, and Glen Nam overseeing day-to-day operations since inception; the firm manages over $6 billion in assets for high-net-worth individuals, institutions, and funds, advised by OBP Capital LLC. The ETF trades on NYSE Arca with a net expense ratio of 0.38%, quarterly distributions, and a low portfolio turnover of 8.81% for the fiscal year ended April 30, 2025, catering to income-oriented investors seeking international value exposure.
