Business
Golden Energy Offshore Services ASA is a Norway-based fully integrated shipowner and operator of modern, high-specification offshore service vessels for the global oil and gas and renewable offshore industries. Founded in 2013 and headquartered in Ålesund, the company owns and charters a fleet that includes platform supply vessels (PSVs) such as Energy Partner, Energy Pace, Energy Passion, and Energy Paradise; multi-purpose support vessels (MPSVs) including Energy Duchess and Energy Empress; and additional vessels like Energy Swan, with operations focused on the North Sea, Caribbean, and international markets serving major oil companies and offshore energy clients. It provides comprehensive services encompassing vessel chartering, technical and commercial management, maintenance, underwater operations, pipe transport, project management, ROV support, and walk-to-work capabilities via recently acquired gangway systems. Recent developments include the USD 95 million sale-and-leaseback refinancing of six vessels with Neptune Maritime Leasing to reduce capital costs by nearly 50%; acquisition of four PSVs and one SSV from Vroon Holding B.V. for USD 94 million; agreements to manage additional vessels Energy Sphynx and Energy Savanah for affiliates of major shareholders; securing of medium-term contracts and extensions for vessels including Energy Swan, Energy Duchess, and others; and strategic partnerships such as with Oaktree for financing and a letter of intent with Gen2 Energy for hydrogen fuel exploration, alongside ambitions to expand the fleet to 15-20 vessels.
