Georg Fischer AG (GF.SW), founded in 1802 and headquartered in Schaffhausen, Switzerland, is a global industrial group focused on flow solutions, lightweight casting components, and precision manufacturing technologies. The company operates through GF Piping Systems, which supplies plastic and metal piping systems including fittings, valves, pipes, automation, and jointing technologies for water and gas transport in industry, utilities, and buildings; GF Building Flow Solutions (formerly GF Uponor, established November 2023), offering safe drinking water systems, energy-efficient radiant heating and cooling, and infrastructure solutions for residential, commercial, municipal, and utility sectors; GF Casting Solutions, providing lightweight ductile iron, aluminum, and magnesium components for mobility, automotive, energy, aerospace, and industrial applications; and GF Machining Solutions, delivering electrical discharge machines, high-speed milling, laser texturing, additive manufacturing, automation, and clamping solutions for tool, mold making, and precision components in information technology, aerospace, and automotive industries. GF maintains production and sales presence in over 45 countries across Europe, the Americas, Asia, and beyond, with approximately 15,700 employees and 2024 sales of CHF 4.776 billion. Recent strategic changes include the November 2023 launch of GF Building Flow Solutions; the May 2025 agreement and subsequent closing of the CHF 200 million acquisition of VAG Group, a leading metal valve manufacturer for water supply and infrastructure; the full acquisition of the Traisen foundry from voestalpine in December 2024; the divestiture of GF Machining Solutions on June 30, 2025; and a signed agreement to divest GF Casting Solutions as part of its transformation into a pure-play flow solutions leader.
