Business
Generation Capital Ltd (GNRS.TA) is an Israel-based investment firm focused on long-term holdings in essential infrastructure projects across energy, environment, transportation, logistics, and utilities; the company was founded in 2018 and is headquartered in Holon, Israel. Through its platform companies, it offers electricity generation, energy storage, and supply via PowerGen; natural gas distribution in southern Israel through Negev Gas South and Negev Natural Gas; environmental services encompassing water, wastewater, waste management, and recycling via BlueGen; public transit operations and transportation infrastructure via Bon Tour Group; rail leasing in the United Kingdom via Porterbrook, which holds about 23% market share; and logistics centers near Haifa and Ashdod ports via Fridenson-Generation Group. Operations span Israel, the United Kingdom, and Central and Eastern Europe, including electric vehicle charging solutions, with a focus on stable cash flows from long-term, index-linked contracts and state protections. In recent developments, Generation Capital raised 280 million shekels ($74 million) through a private placement of shares and warrants to institutional investors including Mor Investments, Leumi Partners, Phoenix, and others in October 2025, primarily to fund growth in energy via PowerGen and environment via Logen/BlueGen; Leumi Partners agreed to acquire a 15% stake in its waste management operations consolidated under BlueGen; and government approval advanced construction of the Reindeer power station near Kfar Saba under National Infrastructure Plan 91.
