Business
Gores Technology Partners II, Inc. (GTPBU) is a blank check company sponsored by an affiliate of The Gores Group, LLC, formed for the purpose of effecting a merger, capital stock exchange, asset acquisition, stock purchase, reorganization or similar business combination with one or more businesses, with a focus on technology sectors including consumer Internet, enterprise software, fintech, digital health, property technology, gaming, agriculture technology and logistics. The company, founded in 2020 and headquartered in Boulder, Colorado, completed its initial public offering in March 2021, raising $460 million through the sale of 46 million units at $10 each on the Nasdaq Capital Market. It conducts no significant operations and generates no revenue pending identification of a suitable target. In November 2022, Gores Technology Partners II filed a preliminary proxy statement to amend its charter and accelerate liquidation ahead of its March 2023 termination date due to adverse market conditions, high redemption rates and regulatory uncertainty; stockholders approved the change, leading to redemption of all public shares and full liquidation on December 16, 2022, with trading ceasing on December 15, 2022.
