GMO U.S. Treasury Fund is a mutual fund managed by Grantham, Mayo, Van Otterloo & Co. LLC (GMO) that seeks liquidity and safety of principal by investing primarily in securities secured by or backed by the full faith and credit of the U.S. government, explicitly or implicitly. The fund is actively managed by GMO’s Short Duration Strategies team and is designed to dynamically allocate among U.S. Treasury-related opportunities while emphasizing capital preservation, liquidity, and relative value; it is not a money market fund and is not subject to money market fund requirements. The fund offers Class VI shares under the ticker GUSTX, was launched in 2009, and had total assets of approximately $284 million as of 30 June 2026; its reference index is the FTSE 3-Month T-Bill Index. GMO, founded in 1977 and headquartered in Boston, Massachusetts, provides multi-asset, equity, fixed income, and alternative investment strategies and operates globally, with offices including Boston, Amsterdam, London, San Francisco, Singapore, Sydney, and Tokyo. Recent changes include GMO’s continued fee reimbursement structure for the fund through at least 30 June 2027, keeping the net expense ratio at 0.09%, and updated portfolio positioning as of 30 June 2026 showing a short-duration, high-liquidity Treasury allocation with a modified duration of 0.6 years, maturity of 0.9 years, a yield to maturity of 4.0%, and an SEC yield of 3.9%. The fund is distributed in the United States by Funds Distributor LLC, and GMO’s current product materials indicate the strategy continues to focus on U.S. Treasury bills and notes while maintaining liquidity standards for institutional and other sophisticated investors.
