Business
Carillon Eagle Mid Cap Growth Fund (HAGAX) is an open-end mutual fund that seeks long-term capital appreciation by investing at least 80% of its net assets in equity securities of mid-capitalization companies with potential for above-average earnings or sales growth, reasonable valuations, and acceptable debt levels; it primarily targets U.S. stocks across sectors including technology, industrials, consumer cyclical, healthcare, and financial services, with approximately 94% allocation to U.S. equities, 4% to non-U.S. stocks, and 1% to cash. The fund offers multiple share classes, including Class A (HAGAX) with a 4.75% front-end load and 1.05% net expense ratio, Class I (HAGIX), Class R6 (HRAUX), and others, with total net assets exceeding $6 billion and daily pricing. Launched on August 20, 1998, and managed by Carillon Tower Advisers, Inc., a subsidiary of Raymond James Financial, Inc., headquartered at 880 Carillon Parkway, St. Petersburg, Florida, the fund is domiciled in the United States and available primarily to U.S. investors with a minimum initial investment of $1,000. In a recent strategic change, Carillon Tower Advisers announced in early 2024 the consolidation of share classes for Carillon Eagle Mid Cap Growth Fund and its related small-cap counterpart, converting R3 and R5 shares into I shares and Y shares into A shares effective around March 1, 2024, to streamline operations and lower fees for most affected investors. Portfolio managers Christopher Sassouni (since 2006), Eric Mintz (since 2011), and David Cavanaugh (since 2022) oversee a diversified portfolio with top holdings such as Synopsys Inc., Waste Connections Inc., and Westinghouse Air Brake Technologies Corp., maintaining a turnover rate of 49%.
